Hi, I'm Donna Barnes. I'm a life and relationship coach and owner of NY Dating Coach in New York City. In this clip we'll talk about how friends can sometimes hurt your relationship. Friends are great, and you need to hold onto them when you're in a relationship so that you don't just isolate yourself with your partner. But when there's something troubling you about your partner your friends should be there as a resounding board to help you figure it out and help you calmly and rationally decide what you should do. If you have a friend that's feeding that fire and wants to get you going and makes you more upset so that when you hang up with her you feel more charged, that's not good, and a lot of times friends, without meaning to, will put their own issues into your relationship and start provoking you to push for things that you were okay with. So you have to be your biggest guide of only you and your partner are in that relationship and if a friend seems like they're pushing you too hard about something that doesn't feel right to you, don't listen to it, you're the judge, not them.
