Hi, I'm Donna Barnes. I'm a Life and Relationship Coach, and owner of NY Dating Coach, in New York City. In this clip, we'll talk about handling jealousy. Jealousy can kill your relationship, if you don't do something about it, when you feel it. First thing, when you're starting to feel jealous about something, take a gut check, and figure out where that's coming from. Decide if it's a valid behavior, that you're observing, that's causing you to feel jealous, or is it just insecurity on your part? Is this a pattern that you have, where you don't trust people, so that you're naturally jealous? If that's the case, you need to do some healing, and figure out where that's coming from, but talk to your partner about it. Share with them. Say, I feel jealous when I see you talking to another woman. Admit it, say you feel a little insecure. Ask them to be conscious of that with you, and work a little harder with you. If you ask gently for the things that you need, your partner should want to be able to help you with that, so if they are genuinely flirting with other people, and you make a request for them not to, and they can't do that, then you need to decide whether you want to be in that relationship or not. A relationship only works, when someone respects your feelings, and your needs. I'm Donna Barnes, in New York City, Life and Relationship Coach.
