Rule number one, there are no rules, or are there? and what are the rules of dating? This is Dr. Paul, author of Boomer Girls, a boomer woman's guide to men and dating, and host of Ask Dr. Paul. The rules of dating, are the ones that you set for yourself, and those rules may vary, at various times in your life. Up front, when you're right there, and involve yourself with someone, who you find to be significantly interesting to you. The rule is, be sincere. Be open and be honest. You're not there playing games. I think that's a really good rule, overall. Don't play games, and I have three that I put in my book, that I think are very, very solid. Number one, be careful what you'll settle for. You may get it. Number two, never cast your pearls before swine, and number three, always, always, have class. There's no substitute for that. That is the bottom line, so the rules of dating are pretty simple, and it kind of goes along with the golden rule. Do unto others, as you would have those do unto you. If you follow that, you're going to have some success with it, but be careful again, what you'll settle for, and you may get it. This is Dr. Paul.
