Now there are a lot of times when it would be inappropriate to approach a woman. For example, while she is working. Never hit on the Starbuck's girl, never hit on the waitress. It's rude, it makes here feel uncomfortable, and she has to reject you in her place of work. And probably has to spend more time with you while she is serving you. Next, never approach a woman while she is with another man. Unless you are truly confident that man is not her boyfriend, you are likely to get yourself into a fight. Next, it's unlikely you are going to have much luck approaching a large group of woman. When a girl is with her friends, she is using her friends as a sounding board, so if you approach her to talk to her, you not only have her two eyes judging you, but you have all the eyes of her friends. When you walk away, even if it's with her phone number or with a smile, they are going to respond and judge you as well. And if you did well with all six of them, it will work. But if you did wrong by just one of them, you are SOL. Your best bet is to approach a woman when she is by herself in a place where she's maybe trying to meet a man. So in a bar, a club, maybe a bookstore or in a group where she is there to meet people. At a wedding, at her friends dinner party. Maybe at a book club or a research design interest. Something to do with friendship and interest in sociability, nothing to do with work.
