The next best thing to a psychologist is a bartender. But how do you date a bartender? This is Doctor Paul author of Boomer Girls. It's a boomer woman's guide to men and dating and host of Ask Doctor Paul. Which basically is what we're doing right now. One way to date a bartender is to never drink. Because you'll find that most bartenders don't drink. And they're very decent judges of human character. They probably hear more stories than the hairdresser in the ladies' salon. And that says a lot. If you're going to date a bartender, be it a female or male bartender, you're going to have to make a choice. Am I willing to trust this person? Do I really feel confident, and I know people are going to be hitting on them, whether it's a male or a female, and I know this person is going to have to have enough self discipline if they're dating me to not pay attention to that. And obviously the drunker people get the more they're hit on a bartender or whomever else is available. So if you're going to be involved and date a bartender, it must be from and element of trust. And that's easier said than done. You're obviously not going to be able to sit in that bar every night. That's not the way it works and you can probably sit there as long as you can, but night after night, it can get to be a hassle. And then of course they have to clean up after that. So the bottom line is this. You have to have an element of trust before you can go there. This is Doctor Paul. May your fantasies of today be your realities of tomorrow.
