Listening is an active process. When you listen, you also involve. Real listening involves body language. When you listen to a man or a woman, you are having eye contact, you are watching that body language and they are watching yours. You're watching facial expressions. One presidential candidate, during debate, looked at his watch, and that was the end for that presidential candidate. I won't say which one it was but it was about several cycles before. That was not listening, and by the way, that may be the worst thing you can do, I don't care if you're in a business situation, in a seminar, in a board room, when you sit there and look at your watch, that is considered to be rude.
