Self-Improvement Tips ow to Be a Better Listener

You ever notice that God gave us two ears and one mouth? You think he was trying to tell us something there? We should listen twice as much as we should speak. This is Dr. Paul, author of "Boomer Girl Boomer Woman's Guide to Men and Dating." Well, how to become a better listener? Keep that basic rule in mind that you have two years and one mouth. Listening is an active process. When you listen, you also involve. Real listening involves body language. When you listen to a man or a woman, you are having eye contact, you are watching that body language and they are watching yours. You're watching facial expressions. One presidential candidate, during debate, looked at his watch, and that was the end for that presidential candidate. I won't say which one it was but it was about several cycles before. That was not listening, and by the way, that may be the worst thing you can do, I don't care if you're in a business situation, in a seminar, in a board room, when you sit there and look at your watch, that is considered to be rude. So listening is an active process. You have two of these, and one of these, you know how to operate. This is Dr. Paul, may your fantasies of today be your realities of tomorrow.
